oppo f17 pro smartphone review with pros and cons

 

hi guys this is shubham and in this article let's do the unboxing and have a look at this new oppo f17 pro and as you can see guys it comes with 8 gigabytes of ram and 128 gigabytes of storage and this is supposed to be very thin if i recall it is supposed to be 7.48 mm in the thickness and the weight is also less we'll check that and of course yeah it comes with a super amoled screen and quad camera setup and as you can see pill shape not so dual front facing camera that we are getting and this will come with the new uh that super book four that's a 30 watt charger and guys uh it's a review on it so they have removed the pricing so i don't know t

he pricing i'll add the pricing in the description below so let's have a closer look at this one and this is also powered by the mediatek uh what do you say uh g95 chipset and this chipset also has a lot of ai features so they do have a lot of ai features in the camera also it's supposed to be that and also for charging uh it employs some ai features for night time charging so and again a 

box within a box we are getting so this is traditional box so it says oppo f17 pro and as i've told you it's 7.48 mm body and ai modes uh 30 watt charging and that super amoled screen that's actually 6.43 so let's open this up and it's in this new color again if you notice guys it's giving the gradient look um and this feels like what do you say glass but guys this is polycarbonate but again you have that gradient finish and that quad camera setup at the back oppo branding dual tone uh finish i would say so interesting anyways uh we'll keep this to the side and see what else do we get so we get this some ejector tool is here and some paper work i'll just keep that to the side some paperwork and all those things warranty card and a standard what do you say ppu uh case that we are getting in the box i'll keep that also to the side uh nice to see uh there are still bundling headphones on this one um some of the vendors have stopped 

giving headphones but here you are getting this headphones and it's like apple uh earpod style uh here we have a single button and a microphone so i'll keep that also to the side and uh this is the uh what do you say 30 watt for charging and the type c cable so that's what we get in the box let me keep these things to the side uh let me give you a physical overview then we'll boot it up and see and again guys it's actually pretty light so i'm also curious let's see what's the weight of this one let this reset okay so 164 grams and definitely feels light and again it's not a very big phone so comfortable to hold in the hand and over here looks like this is a secondary noise cancellation microphone that we are having uh here we just have the power on off button nothing else uh the speaker over here type c port main microphone and 3.5 mm headphone jack and volume rocker and above that we have the sim tray so let's look at the sim tray configuration and uh nice to see we have a dedicated slot for a micro sd card so that's nice so you can expand the storage anyways back we have that quad camera setup as i've told you anyways let me just try to actually power this on and by the time it actually boots up and i set it up here is a configuration overview this oppo

 f17 pro is having a 6.43 inch full hd plus super amoled uh screen uh in 20 to nine aspect ratio and it's 800 net screen it's protected by gorilla glass 3 plus powered by the mediatek helio p95 octa octa-core processor it comes with eight gigabytes of ram and 128 gigabytes of storage that is ufs 2.1 moving to the camera it's a quadratic facing camera main camera has a 48 megapixel then we have a 8 megapixel that's ultra wide 2 megapixel that is monochrome and again 2 megapixel for depth moving to the front facing camera this is also dual the main camera is a 16 megapixel and again we have a 2 megapixel for there and it has a 4000mah battery with the 30 watt uh fast charging and also has in-display fingerprint scanner so guys i have set up the phone and i have also taken some sample shots that i'll show you uh but let's have a look at the device itself and again as i've told you this is actually uh pretty comfortable to hold and just not that heavy uh it just weighs 164 grams and this is having a super amoled screen that's nothing special but one thing that i have noticed is that it i'm keeping it at very low brightness right now but the thing is that if you 

give it an auto brightness and if you go outdoors uh the screen is easily visible because this can go very high in terms of brightness that is 800 nits most of the smart uh smartphones stop out at 500 550 this goes 800 so that's actually a nice thing uh now moving to another thing is that uh if you notice uh again we don't have any extra bloatware yes amazon app is over here and facebook is there but apart from that and that google specific netflix was also pre-installed but if you notice not a lot of junkware apps like uc browser or those banned apps by the government of india those are actually not there on this so that's

 actually a nice thing and this comes with the new color os 7.2 uh and if you go over here this is the new layout that we are seeing and if you could about the device as you can see it gives us an idea it's running over android 10 and august the 5th security patch that we are getting on this one and as you can see this is the higher end variant that comes with 8 gigabytes of ram and i've taken some sample shots so the available storage will be about 112.5 gigabytes on this 128 gigabyte variant but as i've told you again we have that dedicated micro sd card so not

 an issue regarding storage so this is what we have and in display uh one thing i noticed is that icomfort is there and also always on option is there i've enabled it i'll show you that and if we go over here we also have the low brightness flicker thing in amoled screens if you go very low in brightness uh sometimes it can flicker and if you're sensitive some people catch that for example if i do it my camera might catch it but you have this setting and you can set it and that that flicker goes away so that's actually a nice thing and uh uh let's look at the fingerprint scanner also on this one it's in display 

 fingerprint scanner that we're having and as i've told you this is always on and as you can see the fingerprint scanner is actually good on this so you don't have to worry you can also enable that face unlocking option also on this one so those things are fine and again this is again i would say a camera centric smartphone also that quad camera setup that we have main is a 48 megapixel that we are having that ultra wide we are having and the 2 megapixel first is for that black and white that helps and aids the uh primary camera and again we have one more two megapixel that's actually a portrait lens you could say depth kind of a thing and front facing it's dual uh the spin shape notch one thing to note is that pull-shaped notch it's comparatively thinner to many of the other phones that had a built shaped notch anyways it's a 16 megapixel plus two that is for depth so let's look at the camera on this one uh so the interface hasn't changed

 uh this is the regular one you have the 1x you have you can go to white also if you press here that's the ultra white and if you tap it this goes to 2x and again one more five again guys this is digital zoom so don't use it max i would say keep it to 2x and again we have all the modes that you can expect like portrait and all those things on this one and real time it is actually showing us and this processor has a lot of ai modes and that's what it's helping it to do all that you also have a pro expert mode if you want uh so that ai stuff again

 is there quite a bit of settings are there ai beautification and all those things and let's just uh go over here the front facing camera again the beauty face options will be enabled so disable it this is the portrait this is the regular one as you can see and some animation i saw over here as you can see when you move around you see an animation anyways uh let me actually take some sample shots with this one so that you have a better idea regarding the camera so these were taken with the rear facing camera and as you can see the pictures came out actually pretty good this is the regular shot and here i use the 2x zoom and finally this is with the wide angle lens some more sample shots that i took with this one and as you can see you get that natural background blur these were taken uh human subjects again as you can see they came out good and this was with that wide angle lens again regular shot uh this was that wide-angle shot and here i enabled the portrait bokeh mode and these are with the front-facing camera and as you can see with the front-

facing camera it does a good job and here i enable the portrait pokemon and these were shot in completely artificial lighting conditions in my office and these were shot in very low lighting conditions as you can see here also it actually did a good job recording the video with the front facing camera and this should give you an idea how's the video record i'll just move to a shadowed area to give you an idea how it is so this is how is the video recording with the front facing camera and by default guys the video will be set to 720p but i'm shooting this at 1080p so guys that's it for now for the unboxing and first look at this oppo f17 pro so what do you guys think about uh this uh smartphone do let me know in the comment section take care guys
