 hi guys this is ranjit and in this video let's do a practical comparison between the 8 watts pro and the new samsung galaxy batsa pro in fact a few weeks ago i had posted the unboxing and initial impressions video about this galaxy bats pro and quite a few in the comments asked how does it compare with the apple airpods pros and again it opens like this and in terms of physical uh it's very different the buds pro are in your style like this they go so they actually hide in your ear whereas the airpods pro has the stem so when you wear them the stem actually is a lot more visible but again it comes down to personal uh preference uh the case again uh holds charge so you charge it via this and in terms of battery life i would say very close to each other but the buds pro is slight get slightly better battery life not but a huge margin but slightly this i uh they rate about five hours with enc i was getting close to about four and a half hours uh whereas on the airpods pro i get roughly about

 four hours per charge and again you can charge it about three times within uh this one uh so battery life is very close to each other and both of them uh but if you don't use the active noise cancellation you can get a lot more uh battery life in fact that five hours increases to about eight hours but mostly i was using it with active noise cancellation uh in terms of uh the charging i prefer uh the buds because they 

are having that usb type-c so very easy to charge whereas here you have to use the lightning connector uh now moving to another thing is let's also talk about the apps what they do what are the type of customization as you can see it shows the battery charge and everything over here and let's just go here and here as you can see we have a simple interface you can enable noise cancellation you can switch off the noise cancellation and you can have the transparency or transparency mode is that without removing this you can hear what is happening so this is the basic stuff that you have uh you don't have to use the app in fact you can't use the app if you're using an android phone with the airpods pro so you can invoke this same functionality while using

 the stem you actually hold it for a second and now as you can see it moved to the noise cancellation if you hold it again for two seconds goes back here you can actually customize what you want here you can invoke it for siri or use this so that is the customization that you have uh but that's what we have in terms of customization we don't have any customization for the sound that is something that i miss with the airport so you can't customize the eq default with this one and now let's look at the interface of the galaxy but pro so just take it out let me just wear it it'll detect again same thing it detects uh gives you the percentage of the battery and all those things so it gives you an idea about the

 buds and all this thing and first thing again you see is again that active noise cancellation the pro thing with all of them is that active noise cancellation and right now it's on active noise cancellation you can switch it off if you want so active noise cancellation off looks like a normal in-ear buds and you also have this cool known as ambient mode and this is again like that transparency mode so if you switch this on you can clearly hear what's happening around in fact uh you can customize at the level i actually like it on the lowest level uh so this is very comfortable low you can easily hear

 what is happening around but if you go into high and all these things it becomes slightly robotic but can be sort of a spy tool even very far away what people are talking can catch so i like that samsung is providing you the amount of customization that you want and i have to say the ambient sound has improved uh quite a bit on these new buds pro they don't sound that much robotic that was the problem with earlier buds this transparency mode or whatever they called used to sound very robotic here it's a lot better uh we also have a new feature on this one that is known as voice detect and if i enable this what happens is that when you're playing the sound or something music or something and if you just start talking it automatically enables the ambient mode so that you can easily converse other person you don't have to manually like move out of that noise cancellation so this is a very important thing and it works actually really well so i like it i call it the wife mode i wish the airport had something like that because with the airport i have to physically just enable that transparency more so i like this mode this is a new addition as you can see i'm talking that's why right now it's an active if i start talking it automatically goes to the ambient mode and another thing that i like with this one is these are touch controls you you tap here to actually basically move between tracks and but you can customize it as you can see i've set it to actually if i hold it for some time i have enabled it for the noise cancellation and that ambient mode but you can actually also set it for volume which i like now

 i can adjust the volume by just tapping this one and holding it for some time so that's actually a nice thing uh but the airpods sadly you cannot do that for adjusting the volume you have to go to your phone or if you're using an iphone or something you have to uh talk to siri to get that so i like the customization that is offered on this one and apart from that the biggest thing that i like on this galaxy buds in terms of customization is they have an equalizer as you can see right now it's in the normal mode for example if you really like that heavy bass you can go to the baseball soft or dynamic by default i like the fact that i didn't have to actually change it in the normal mode the calibration has been done very well on this one but again this does offer us an option of that eq which i appreciate i wish apple adds that to the software update but as of now there is no eq on the airpods pro apart from that we also have what you call the 360 degree audio with this parts if you have a new samsung phone with one ui 3.1 and what this tries to do is that it tries to simulate a 360 degree sound for example 

it feels like you have multiple speakers and stuff and what i liked is that it works with any sound source it can be a mono sound source or anything it's not limited to a specific app or something so if you uh enable that you get a very immersive feeling i enjoyed that a little bit i would say uh even a regular tracks uh worked so that is there uh with this galaxy bus on the other hand uh this airpods pro also have uh something thing known as spatial audio this also works but again this works only in a couple of apps you have to enable it and it works with apple tv and i i believe as of now with disney plus so that also offers a similar experience but as of now it's limited to only a particular it's not universal but again both of them work very well now let's talk about active noise cancellation and both of them actually have active noise cancellation and earlier today i was just wearing

 one removing one for earring one uh and in terms of active noise cancellation i have to say both of them are neck to neck so i can't say one is better than the other but one small thing that i noticed and i even i gave this to my daughter because she listens to a lot of music and she said active noise cancellation is very good on both but what she said is that and i also noticed this is this airpods pro when you have that active noise cancellation the moment you wear them you get that vacuum kind of a sensation and a slight sensation in your ears uh i'm actually used to this because i've been wearing this active noise cancellation headphones and stuff for a lot of years so i'm used to that but my daughter is not used to that and she felt it it was just too much she felt it could have been better apple should have provided an option here to lower that fortunately uh with this galaxy buds pro uh this also has that active noise cancellation again it blocks that almost 95 of the sound ac is working right now if i'm wearing i'm not hearing it that's the same case even with this one so gives you that isolation but that vacuum sensation in the years is actually not there and very less in fact if you go to the app let me actually show you you can actually customize the level of active noise cancellation to high end low because

 i'm sort of used to these active noise cancellation headphones and stuff using them for years i'm keeping it high but if you're new uh you might feel that slight sensation so you can keep it on low so you won't feel that sensation that's nice and again both of them do have a vent over here so that it shouldn't happen but for some reason still i would say on the airpods uh when i wear it and remove it after 10 initially when i wear it for five seconds i feel that vacuum effect and even if i take it out after 10 minutes of listening to the music i feel that so it's a little bit more dramatic on this one many people will not actually uh what you see uh feel it but there are some people who are sensitive to that so just uh a small thing to note uh now coming to the microphones on this one this is also very important i would say because these days we are taking a lot of calls doing video conferencing etc so how is the microphone is a very important part in this one so i in fact i took a lot of calls with both of them and other parties never complained but here are some quick samples that i've recorded so that you can get a better idea regarding the microphone quality now testing the microphone in indoor conditions and the audio that you're hearing is being transmitted from this path pro so guys this is the audio pickup that you can expect from the internal microphone now i'll switch to the airpods pro and we'll do 

the same test now guys uh using the airpods pro so this is the quality of the microphone that you can expect in indoor conditions with the airpods pro so guys the audio is being transmitted from this airpods uh pro this is sort of outdoor condition so this should give you an idea about the microphone quality now what i'll do is i'll switch to this uh buds and see if there is any difference so guys doing the same thing now i'm using the buds pro as you can see and again this is again outdoor conditions you guys let me know what do you feel about the audio pickup uh which one was better both of them actually have sensors in them and whenever you're playing actually the music if you just take out it'll just pause the music because it knows that you have taken it out the airpods also has that it has a sensor so it knows when it's in your ear and if you just take it out it'll pause the music but this happens only with the iphone i tried it with the android smartphone though it plays everything audio and everything but whenever i take this out on an android phone though it is having that sensor it does not pause the music which is very very strange that does not happen with the uh bats pro uh with the iphone even with the iphone when i use the buds probe and i take it out it pauses the music so that's just some small thing i think so apple intentionally if you're using an android phone is disabling that functionality i hope they fix it with the software update but yeah that's what it is now let's also talk about the sound quality then i'll summarize and here i would say i noticed quite a bit of a difference and in fact airports actually pro sound very good and overall sound signature is actually really good on this one i enjoyed it for the last couple of months i've been using it but after listening to this one there is a distinct difference in the sound signature i have to say and i would definitely say that the sound state is slightly better on this batch pro in fact i would say the base is more pronounced on this one and that added advantage that i've told you the eq that you can play around does make quite a bit of a difference so uh i would say the base is slightly better and one big difference that i noticed is that the high tones are definitely produced a lot better uh that sparkle that you say in the higher tones is a little bit more with the buds pro and i think so that is due to the fact that the bloods pro are actually having two different drivers actually two physical drivers it has 11 mm driver for the base and the mid tones and in fact a separate driver that's a 6.5 mm driver for the treble frequency and because of that i feel the sound signature is more immersive and it sounds a little bit more punchier i would say compared to the airpods pro don't get me wrong the airpods pro sound really good but if you are looking for that punch in the music definitely this one even in the normal mode if i don't play with the eq had slightly more punchier music in fact uh i would say for watching movies i enjoyed the galaxy bats pro more just because of that punchier music so uh if you're a youngster or something who likes a lot more punchier music

 and are also a little bit more critical about the higher tones uh then you might find the sound signature on this one better and lastly when it comes down to the pricing there is a big difference between the pricing i was checking the apple india website and the airports pro are priced at twenty four thousand nine hundred whereas this buds pro uprised at around 16 000 so there is a huge price difference so overall i would say if you're a person who is using an android phone or even like me who has a mix of android or a iphone because of that punchier sound signature and the pricing if i have to pick one practically as of now in india considering the indian pricing i would give the vote to the uh galaxy buds pro in fact i would say if you are still confused between these two go to a local store like chroma reliance digital etc and play around with both of them and play the same soundtrack and you will notice
